Pseudephebe pubescens

Pseudephebe pubescens

This is another tiny fruticose species that grows on rock in our area. Interestingly, this species is usually found in more arctic or alpine regions. The occurence of this lichen in our area might be due to the colder temperature of the rocks it is found on, or its range may include our area. Lichen research conducted in the Channeled Scablands region has been very limited.
